Featured Success Story

“I used Job Interviewology for my preparation for a very competitive interview where there were 1800 interviewees for 50 places. My coach was amazing and extremely helpful throughout the process with his one on one coaching service and preparatory materials. With his help, I emerged as one of the preferred candidates.

I would recommend him any day!”

Adowa –  Graduate Consultant, International Development Industry (UK)

“Great coaching and an empathetic listening ear. My coach offered off-piste advice that turned a good presentation into a great presentation. Thanks Job Interviewology!”

Taz –  Graduate Consultant, Medical Industry (UK)

“The course was detailed and gave me some practical examples I could adjust to my job description. All the topics in the course are essential points to go through the interview prep and with a good effort from the candidate’s part (you need to believe in yourself and in your value!) you can build your way to success. On my interview I felt confident and prepared because I knew what to expect and what the panel was expecting from me. You will be nervous, of course, but you will be prepared. I also learnt to be thankful for my failures, they were so precious to get to my last interview and be proud of myself.  The training course was motivating and engaging; I have a new job now, and I am so proud of myself, I found my strength and all the tools to a great performance in this course.”

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I prepare for a graduate interview?

Graduate interviews consists of three important elements this includes your knowledge of the organisation (what they do, the types of products and services they provide etc.), secondly is your team fit do you possess the right energy, attitude and behaviour for the organisation and lastly do you possess the aptitude or technical foundation to do the job they’re advertising for. Once you know what they’re looking for it becomes far easier to prepare. Our graduate interview coaching programme will ensure that all three areas are successfully covered to ensure that you give a high level performance on all three fronts.

Additionally graduate interview can vary from organisation to organisations, some opt for a simple 1-2 stage face to face interview, where as others will set up a half-day or full assessment day where you could be required to participate in following: group interview, psychometric tests, technical test, presentation, role play and a face to face interview. Depending on the type of interview you have we will set up a bespoke graduate interview coaching session specifically for you to help you over come the specific challenges you might have to face in an assessment day.

What are graduate interviews like?

Graduate interviews can be a little nerve wrecking, but that’s to be expected it’s what you’ve been studying for all these years. However one of my top graduate interview tips is to not get to the interview too early, get there pretty much on time. This will prevent the nerves building up prior when a person arrives to take you to the interview room.

Usually interview panel are all very friendly, they recognise that you’re a graduate therefore will to their best to make you feel comfortable. Another one of my top graduate interview tips is not to be afraid to ask for a glass of water or cup of tea or coffee.

How do you answer a fresh graduate interview question?

It’s important not to rush and take your time, the opening questions are going to be quite predictable such as “why have you applied for the role” or “tell me about yourself”. In our graduate interview coaching sessions we will work with you to put together engaging answers that really content with the interviewer to these types of ice breaker questions, strength based questions and behavioural competency based questions.

What should I wear to a graduate interview?

Smart is the order of the day so anything from a suit & tie to a shirt and smart trousers. In our graduate interview coaching we will help you to select the right look for your interview if you feel you need it.
