Featured Success Story
“Job Interviewology provided me with a thorough analysis of my interviewing skills which has resulted in a platform for me to take away to my job interviews and other areas of every day life. The coaching made me realise where improvements are required in my interview process and the key pieces of knowledge and advice he shared has given me a different dimension and made me more assertive to be confident approaching interviews going forward. I would thoroughly recommend contacting Job Interviewology.”

“I have worked in the same organisation for 20 years and did quite a technical role. I wanted to progress into a leadership role but didn’t have the experience of recruitment so really struggled.
My coach’s advice was excellent. The booklet on how to improve my CV was spot on and it resulted in 3 interviews in one week. The advice and guide for interview confidence and technique improved my performance significantly and I was offered two jobs. I’m now about to start a Head of Business Partnering role and it is all thanks to Job Interviewology. I’d strongly recommend this company!”

How do I prepare for a corporate interview?
If you’re working within a corporate firm whether it’s a Fortune 500/ FTSE100 firm or an SME, one thing you can be sure of is that it will be a very structured interview process. Meaning that there will be a mixture of competency interview questions as well as strength based questions, However also an assessment, written exercise and short presentation. The way you prepare is dependant on the nature of your role an Accountant interview is different from a Risk Manager interview and Solicitor interview will be very different from a Business Analyst interview. Therefore it’s important to study the job description in corporate interviews and identify which specific behaviours are likely to be covered for your role and then prepare like any other other strength or competency interview.
How do I ace a corporate interview?
Again preparation is key, since corporate interviews can have two or three rounds as therefore it is important not only to focus purely on your interview answers but also make time for your presentation and any assessments. Then make sure that you systematic prepare for each. Time is going to be key there if you do get an interview at short notice, don’t be afraid to ask for more time because they will usually be fine in pushing the interview back, giving some important additional time.
What are the 10 most common interview questions and answers?
- Why have you applied for this role?
- Tell me about yourself?
- Talk us through your CV?
- What is your biggest weakness?
- Describe your leadership style?
- How do you manage your time?
- Provide an example where something hasn’t gone to plan how did you adapt and turn the situation around?
- Provide an example of managing conflict with a team member, how did you successfully resolve he issue?
- Provide an example where you’ve had to deal with a difficult stakeholder
- Provide an example of where you’ve had to deliver under pressure?
What should I bring to corporate interview?
Only a suit will do if you’re a man and if you’re female formal professional wear. The more professional you look the better. You should bring lots of positive energy, make the most of the small talk time and ensure that whether you’re struggling with your answers or hitting them out of the park, show confidence throughout.
