Featured Success Story
“I am in the process of making a transition in my career, and whilst I am an experienced and confident professional, I felt my interview answers lacked structure and didn’t showcase my experience as well as they could have. Due to the added pressure of the current job market, I decided to invest in an interview coach to give me every chance at success. Job Interviewology’s programme worked really well for me. I used the online modules to identify and work on responses to predicted questions. I then practised and refined the responses in 1:1 sessions with my coach over Zoom.
My coach was kind, honest, clever and experienced. I trusted his coaching and I’m glad I did, as I was successful at interview!”

“I have worked in the same organisation for 20 years and did quite a technical role. I wanted to progress into a leadership role but didn’t have the experience of recruitment so really struggled.
My coach’s advice was excellent. The booklet on how to improve my CV was spot on and it resulted in 3 interviews in one week. The advice and guide for interview confidence and technique improved my performance significantly and I was offered two jobs. I’m now about to start a Head of Business Partnering role and it is all thanks to Job Interviewology. I’d strongly recommend this company!”

Coaching OPTIONS
What is a video interview?
A video interview is exactly what it says on the tin, an interview conducted via video call (Zoom, Skype, Microsoft Teams, Webex etc.). However there are some difference between a regular interview and this is why we provide specialised video interview coaching sessions that focus on maximising your video interview performance.
How do you pass a video interview?
There are a few things we really focus on when it comes to our video interview coaching. The first is to make sure that you do the basic checks at least one day before the interview, such as mic check, camera check. Also couple of very important video interview tips is to make sure that you find a place in the house where the lighting is good and there are no disturbances (such as people walking in). It’s simple things like these than can sometimes be over looked and reduce the effectiveness your interview performance.
Another two really important video interview tips is to make use of the space behind the camera. Feel free to post some mind maps on the wall or some keep bullet points that can act as prompts.
Most professionals that we support through our one to one video interview coaching, we still place a strong emphasis on the fundamentals of a good interview, meaning positive body language, managing nerves and delivering high quality answers. However of course this is within a framework of knowing that you’re going to be in a video interview rather than a more traditional face to face.
What shouldn’t you do in a video interview?
One important thing we really emphasis in our video interview coaching is to make sure that you do not read your answers from your monitor. The interviewers will notice instantly and it will almost certainly reduce the likelihood of being successful. The second red flag we highlight in our interview coaching and ensure you stay away from is to have too much clutter around you before the interview you want to ensure that space around and your desk helps create an air of calmness rather than chaos.
